Man charged with murder after double shooting in Petersburg
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is facing a 1st-degree murder charge in connection with a mid-August double shooting in Petersburg.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, officers with the Petersburg Bureau of Police were called to the 400 block of Terrace Avenue for report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot: Jamar Wilson and 25-year-old Keniard Deonta Sarcez Watson.
Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment, where Wilson later died.

According to police, Watson has since been charged with Wilson's 1st-degree murder. He was also charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and the possession of a firearm as a violent felon.
"No other suspects are being sought in this incident," police said.
