Man dead after motorcycle crash off Otterdale Road in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after a motorcycle crash off Otterdale Road in Chesterfield Friday evening.

The Chesterfield County Police Department said the crash took place at about 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, in the 1800 block of Otterdale Road.

Police said an early investigation shows a motorcycle traveling north on Otterdale Road when it left the road and hit a tree.

Off-duty Chesterfield firefighter dead after motorcycle crash

According to people, the driver -- an unidentified man - was taken to Chippenham Hospital where he died due to his injuries.

His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
