Man dead after shooting on Richmond Highway
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after a shooting took place off of Richmond Highway on Saturday. According to Richmond Police, officers were called to the 3600 block of Richmond Highway at 1:21 p.m. for the report of a robbery that had changed to a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital were he was pronounced dead, according to police. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. The incident is being investigated as a homicide -- anyone with information is urged to call Major Crimes Detective G.
