Man dies after being hit by vehicle in Richmond on Christmas Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Richmond on Christmas Day.
Just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 5700 block of Hull Street Road for a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
When officers arrived, they found a man down and unresponsive in the road.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
The Richmond Police Department Crash Team responded to the scene and determined that the man was not in a crosswalk and was walking in the center of Hull Street Road when a vehicle driven westbound hit him.
The driver remained on scene.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
