Man dies after single-vehicle crash in Henrico County
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Mechanicsville Turnpike Wednesday morning. At 9:28 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the intersection of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Neale Street for a reported crash near the Hanover County line. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the wood line just past Chickahominy Bluffs. The driver, who police identified as a man, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died due to his injuries, according to police. Investigators are on scene working to gather more information on what caused the crash, which may cause several lane closures.
