Man dies in hospital after downtown Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after a shooting took place in downtown Richmond early Sunday morning.
According to the Richmond Police Department, officers responded at 3:31 a.m. on Sunday, March 30 for the report of a person shot in the 1800 block of E Main St.
When they arrived, they found a man with apparent gunshot wounds who was taken to a local hospital where officials said he eventually died due to his injuries.
