Man fighting for life after being hit by vehicle on West Main Street in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is fighting for his life after he was hit by a vehicle on West Main Street in Richmond on Saturday morning.

Just before 6 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 600 block of West Main Street for a report of a crash.

When officers arrived, they found a man down and unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officials said the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the Richmond Police Department Crash Team.
