Man hit, killed by driver on West Broad in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after he was hit and killed by a driver in Henrico County on Monday.

At about 8:35 p.m. on Monday, April 28, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to West Broad Street near Pemberton Road for report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

When they arrived, they found the pedestrian -- an unidentified man -- dead.

According to police, the involved driver is cooperating with authorities.

The Henrico County Police Division's Traffic Safety Unit is investigating this crash. No additional information is available at this time.

West Broad Street from Pemberton Road and Stillman Parkway was closed for some time. It reopened shortly after 11 p.m., per police.
