Man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after shooting in Henrico’s Varina area

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man is hospitalized after police said he was shot in Henrico County's Varina Magisterial District on Friday afternoon.

At around 2:19 p.m. on Friday, April 25, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to a call in the 400 block of Witchduck Court for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound, and he was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Henrico Police are still on scene investigating and advise drivers to avoid the area due to what they are calling "large law enforcement presence."
