Man injured in Richmond shooting, police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is investigating after a man was injured in a shooting on Wednesday morning. At around 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, Richmond Police officers were called to the 1500 block of Clarkson Road for the report of a person shot. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man shot. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. Police said detectives are investigating this incident. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Major Crimes Detective J. Wilson at 804-646-0712.
