Man sentenced to 6 years for Fentanyl-related charges
GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Yesterday, an Albemarle County man plead guilty for an incident in Greene County involving the possession and distribution of Fentanyl.
According to the Greene County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Kevin Scott Keyton of Crozet plead guilty to the following charges on Monday, Feb. 3:
- Possession, manufacture or distribution of weapon of terrorism -- Fentanyl
- Distribution of Schedule I or II
Originally Keyton was charged with this offense from an incident on April 17, 2024 in Ruckersville. The sheriff's department said there are still more people of interest in connection to this case that are currently being investigated.
Keyton was sentenced to:
- 5 years to serve on Distribution of Schedule I or II
- 1 year to serve on Weapon of terrorism (Fentanyl)
He will be in custody of the Virginia Department of Corrections for a total of 6 years and will be placed on supervised probation upon release.
