Man shot in stomach, leg in Richmond, police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is investigating after a man was shot in his stomach and leg early Saturday morning. At around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, Richmond Police officers responded to the 3200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who was shot in his stomach and right leg. According to police, the victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening. The Richmond Police Department's Major Crimes is investigating.
