On Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m., StarCity Behavioral Health hosted a tour of its Recovery City project site to celebrate the efforts of demolition and renovations on the grounds. Mayor Stoney was in attendance at the event, touring the grounds of the transitioning facility. Those who attended, learned more insight on what the facility will offer from Star City Behavioral Health leaders. According to StarCity, the event marked a significant milestone of creating a recovery-focused environment in the community, which was curated to help change lives and provide access to treatment services for substance abuse. The organization said the Recovery City project is designed to become a hub for recovery -- offering services that include holistic treatments for people seeking long-term recovery.
