Mental health-related call ‘resolved safely,’ and roads reopen in Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A mental health-related call closed part of South Airport Drive in Henrico County Friday morning, after which police said the situation was "resolved safely," and roads reopened.

In the morning on Friday, March 13, the Henrico County Police Division announced in a press release that officers were on scene at South Airport Drive near Interstate 64 for a mental health-related call.

Police said there was no threat to the community.

Officials later announced that the situation had been "resolved safely," and roads reopened.

According to officials, detours were in place, and drivers should take Williamsburg Road or Nine Mile Road for travel around the area, and the closures will impact drivers' morning commute.
