Metro Richmond Zoo welcomes baby giraffe named Clover
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Metro Richmond Zoo has welcomed a new member to its giraffe family. On Friday, Jan. 31, the Metro Richmond Zoo announced that it has welcomed a baby giraffe named Clover, which was born on Nov. 21, 2024, to parents Chrissy and Wakati after a 15-month gestation. Clover is named after a unique clover-shaped spot pattern on her chest, according to the zoo. "Clover is out and about enjoying the warmer weather, and she's ready to meet you!" the zoo said in its Facebook post.
