Missing 14-year-old runaway found safe

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The missing 14-year-old boy for whom officials sent out an emergency alert to those in the Chesterfield area Monday morning has been found safe.
In the morning on Monday, Dec. 22, an emergency alert was issued on behalf of Chesterfield Police, who were searching for a 14-year-old boy.
At 9:37 a.m. on Monday, police shared a press release that stated the boy has autism and was believed to be a runaway.
At 2:34 p.m. on Monday, officials released an update that the boy had been found safe and reunited with family.
