Missing 85-year-old Henrico man could be in danger

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Police Division is searching for a missing 85-year-old man who could be in danger.

At 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, the county's Department of Emergency Communications responded to a missing persons call for 85-year-old Benny L. Starks.

Starks is said to have left his home at the 9200 block of Wilmecote Avenue around 12:45 p.m. on Friday. He has not been seen since.

According to police, Starks is diabetic and has dementia. Police said his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.

Starks, pictured above, is described as a Black man with a beard. He is about 6 foot 2 inches tall and was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt, black army jacket with patches, a hat and blue jeans.

Police confirmed that officers have used various resources to try to locate Starks and they now are asking the community's assistance in safely reuniting him with his family.
