Motorcyclist dead after crash at Chesterfield intersection
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A motorcyclist is dead after a crash at a Chesterfield County intersection Friday night.
The evening of Friday, Jan. 9, a crash involving a motorcycle and a car took place at the intersection of Hopkins and Beulah roads, according to the Chesterfield County Police Department.
Details are limited at this time, but a police spokesperson told 8News that the man operating the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The motorcyclist's identity is being withheld until his family can be notified.

The other involved driver was not hurt, the spokesperson said. They remained at the scene following the incident.

No additional information, such as the nature of the crash, is available as of the time of reporting.
As of 8:06 p.m., all lanes -- both eastbound and westbound -- are closed in the area surrounding the crash, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
