CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A motorcyclist is dead after he was thrown from his bike in Chesterfield County Friday evening. The single-vehicle crash took place at about 7:19 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in the 11800 block of Ivy Mill Road, according to the Chesterfield County Police Department. When officers arrived, they found a male victim on the ground who had been thrown from his motorcycle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. "At this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash," police said. No other information regarding the circumstances of the crash was shared by police.
