Motorcyclist killed in crash in Albemarle

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A motorcyclist is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Albemarle County on Friday.
Just after 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, crews with both the Albemarle County Police and Fire Rescue departments were called to northbound Monacan Trail Road in the area of Covesville Lane for report of a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.
Their identity is being held until their loved ones are notified.
