RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Movieland at Boulevard Square recently hosted a grand re-opening event, offering arcade games, bigger screens and new concessions to Richmond film lovers.

Those familiar with Movieland will notice one particularly bright, new edition as they walk through the front doors -- Playland Arcade. This neon-filled area features games and prizes for children and adults alike, including racing games, claw machines and more.

As you make your way past the arcade, you're met with an improved concession menu, offering cheesesteaks, hot dogs and chicken tenders. Just to the left, people can hang out in the bar and lounge area, where you can grab a drink and even take a stab at duckpin bowling.

But enough lounging around! It's time to see a movie! Which may be screened in one of Movieland's two new BTX Premium Large Format theaters, fitted with larger screens and Dolby Atmos sound systems. Additionally, each auditorium has been upgraded with luxury recliners.
