NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart talks about becoming a first-time dad

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- After a decorated career in stock and open-wheel racing, NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart is turning heads in a new sport: drag racing.

Stewart, who was named the 2024 NHRA Rookie of the Year, earned his first Top Fuel victory on Sunday, April 13 at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas. This makes him the only driver to win across several series, including NASCAR, NHRA and IndyCar.

After his wife, NHRA racer Leah Pruett, had their first baby in November 2024, Stewart jumped into the driver's seat. But he didn't just fill in for his wife -- he started winning.

Executive Producer Conner Nuckols sat down with the Hall of Fame driver to see how Stewart is juggling life as a first-time dad and find out if fans can expect a matchup between husband and wife.
