One-woman musical ‘Penelope’ coming to Firehouse Theatre

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests on Thursday to talk about "Penelope," the musical coming to Firehouse Theatre this week.

8News anchor Madison Moore was joined by Rachel Gilmour, the actress who plays Penelope, and Todd LaBelle, the show's director, to discuss what people can expect.

"It's about Penelope, Odysseus's wife from the Odyssey in Greek mythology, and basically it chronicles the 20 year period where she is waiting for his return," Gilmour said.

People can catch the one-woman musical from Thursday, Jan. 9 to Sunday, Feb. 8 at Firehouse Theatre, located at 1609 West Broad Street. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
