Over 100 drivers pulled over in Chesterfield’s Enon area in just one day
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County officers pulled over more than 100 drivers in the Enon area on Thursday, including two drivers who were going more than double the posted speed limit.
On Thursday, March 26, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department pulled over a total of 116 drivers in the Enon area during a traffic enforcement operation.
This operation involved officers patrolling the area with a focus on speeding, reckless driving, red light running, seatbelt use, impaired driving and mobile device use while driving, police said.
Officers issued 158 summonses during this operation, as well as 13 written warnings.
"The highest speed of the day was a tie between two officers who pulled over drivers going 77 [mph] in a 35 [mph zone], at Rivers Bend Boulevard at Greenside Drive," police wrote. "Both drivers were cited for Reckless Driving by Speed (20+ mph over limit)."

Additionally, some of the stops officers made resulted in additional arrests for crimes like possession of a schedule IV drug, as well as probation and protective order violations.

"Remember to buckle up, drive sober, slow down, put the phone down and move over for emergency vehicles," police said.
Chesterfield Police chose the Enon area for this operation after residents requested it through a recent poll.
