RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- More than $2.5 million worth of illegal narcotics were seized by Virginia State Police (VSP) in just one week as part of ongoing crime suppression operations.

Through a partnership with federal and local agencies, between Dec. 10 and Dec. 16, state troopers seized nearly 111 pounds of illegal narcotics across the Commonwealth.

This included almost 62 pounds of marijuana, 35.3 pounds of ketamine, 11.1 pounds of cocaine, 5 pounds of THC consumables, 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine and 1.8 ounces of crack cocaine, as well as 30 THC vapes and 3 oxycontin pills.

These illegal narcotics would have generated about $2,592,410 if they were sold, per VSP. State troopers also recovered $433,724 in U.S. currency.
