Over 250 local pets vaccinated at record-breaking rabies clinic in Caroline

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- More than 250 doses of the rabies vaccine were given to local pets during a recent Caroline County Sheriff's Office rabies clinic, making it the largest clinic in the office's history.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, the office's Animal Control Division hosted a rabies vaccination clinic at Caroline County Middle School. Residents who attended were able to get their pets vaccinated against this deadly disease.

An incredible 257 vaccinations were administered during this event, making it the largest clinic the office has ever held.

“It’s great to see so many Caroline residents taking steps to keep their pets and community safe," said Caroline Sheriff Scott Moser in an Oct. 29 press release. "Our Animal Control team works hard to make these clinics accessible and convenient, and this record attendance shows how much our Animal Control Deputies care about the animals of our community.”

The clinic was made possible through a partnership with At Peace, LLC., which is run by Dr. Alexandra Teskin and her husband, John Teskin.

"Their expertise, professionalism and compassion play a vital role in keeping the community’s pets healthy and safe," authorities said of the Teskins.

The sheriff's office intends to offer more rabies clinics in the future. They will be announced via the agency's Facebook page.
