Over 300 women motorcyclists to gather in Ashland for annual ride

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Over 300 women motorcyclists are expected to gather in Ashland in July for the second annual Virginia All Female Ride.

Hosted by the Virginia All Female Ride nonprofit, the event will take place from Friday, July 18 to Sunday, July 20, and aims to raise funds for local charities while celebrating the motorcycle community, according to a release.

This year, the participating beneficiaries include two Richmond-based nonprofits -- Worthdays, which supports children in the foster care system, and Safe Harbor, which helps support survivors of domestic violence.

People planning to attend on Friday, July 18 can visit the Bass Pro Shops Parking Lot located at 11550 Lakeridge Parkway from 5 to 9 p.m.

On Saturday, July 19, people can head to the Richmond Harley-Davidson located at 12200 Harley Club Drive from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an organized ride through Ashland.

In addition to the ride, the event will feature raffles, vendors, live entertainment and more.
