According to the department, there are four miles of delays on the northbound side and delays stretching a little over a mile on the southbound side of the interstate.

Virginia State Police said the crash occurred when a dump truck rear-ended an SUV and overturned. A white sedan then reportedly ran into the dump truck.

State police said the dump truck spilled its load in the northbound lanes of I-95.

According to officials, the drivers of all three vehicles reported injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

At 4 p.m., state police said the cleanup would take at least another hour, with traffic moving through the area on the shoulder of I-95 North.

State police said they are working with the Virginia Department of Transportation to make detours.
