Pedestrian dead after fatal hit-and-run on Semmes Avenue in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One person is dead after a fatal hit-and-run on Semmes Avenue on Saturday night.
At around 11:31 p.m., officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Semmes Avenue near the intersection of West 15th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found an adult female down and unresponsive in the eastbound lanes of the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the victim was a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle as she was crossing Semmes Avenue.
The Richmond Police Department Crash Team said they're investigating the incident as a hit-and-run.
Officers continue to investigate. No other information is available as of reporting.
