Person arrested after miles-long police chase in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After Richmond Police officers tried to pull over a vehicle for an alleged traffic infraction Wednesday evening, the vehicle reportedly fled, prompting a miles-long police chase throughout the city.

At 9:28 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, officers with the Richmond Police Department attempted to pull over a vehicle at the intersection of 19th Street and Fairmont Avenue for an alleged traffic infraction.

Police said the vehicle then fled from the scene, and officers began a miles-long police chase until the vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of W. Broad Street and Tilden Street.

Police said a person was arrested, but have not yet shared the charge or charges they face.
