Person killed in hit-and-run on Crater Road in Petersburg
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police is asking for the public's help after a person was killed in a hit-and-run early Monday morning.
According to a release from the bureau, a person was found in the roadway of the 1800 block of S. Crater Road in Petersburg at 1:52 a.m. on Monday, March 3. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene after Emergency Medical Services responded.
Police said that the victim was hit by a vehicle, potentially a truck or SUV, which then left the scene and was last seen on Glenroy Street heading west, according to their investigation.
