Petersburg police request help to identify suspect, vehicle in reported abduction attempt
PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a vehicle and its driver in reported abduction attempts.
At about 7 a.m. on Friday, April 25, a male reportedly approached a female at the intersection of Perry Street and West Wythe Street, attempting to get her into his vehicle.
According to police, the suspect was described as a white male with short red hair and a red beard. Police said the vehicle was described as brown, and the registration is unknown.

During the investigation, a second person reportedly came forward and described a similar occurrence that happened last week at the intersection of East Washington Street and Crater Road.
Police said the suspect from that incident was described as a white male with a short haircut and an orange beard.
