RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Holiday spirit is on full display this weekend!
Colorful balloons, holiday-themed floats and energetic tunes from local school bands brought the 2025 Dominion Energy Christmas Parade to life on Saturday, Dec. 6.
At 10:15 a.m., the parade started at the Science Museum of Virginia, then traveled eastbound on West Broad Street and concluded at 7th Street near the Richmond Coliseum. The line-up included local organizations, businesses and public entities.
Dakota Everette, who attended for the second time this year, said she spotted familiar faces in the mix, including the Grinch, Elsa and Anna from Frozen, and K-pop Demon Hunters characters.
Everette said it's the community that made the event successful.
"This is a great community, the people are so nice, everyone waves and smiles. It's a perfect family outing," said attendee Dakota Everette. "And it's free."
Lauren Dailey agreed.
"We have so many great organizations, great schools represented here," Dailey said. "The whole community is out."
