RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Lowe's cat Francine, who is finally back in Richmond after she went missing across state lines for weeks, was welcomed back into her home store with a "catwalk" on the blue carpet.

Francine, a local feline celebrity who has called the Lowe's at 1640 W. Broad Street home for eight years, wandered onto a semi-truck bound for a North Carolina distribution center on Sept. 17. After nearly three weeks of searching, she was finally found on Sunday, Oct. 5.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Lowe's Home Improvement shared several photos of Francine's grand homecoming in Richmond.

She was greeted at the doorway by a blue carpet and crowd of relieved employees.

Francine has also been equipped with an AirTag -- a tracking device sold by Apple that will, hopefully, make it easier to find Francine if she manages to go missing a second time.
