PHOTOS: Heavy storm damage throughout Central Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Severe storms wreaked havoc throughout Central Virginia on Thursday, causing a significant amount of damage. 8News viewers shared photos of what that damage looked like in their area.

Starting in the afternoon of Thursday, June 19, severe thunderstorms hit Central Virginia, bringing high-speed winds, rain and even hail with them. Dozens of trees and power lines were knocked down, damaging homes, blocking roadways and causing widespread power outages.

8News viewers sent in pictures of the damage they're seeing in their communities.
