PHOTOS: Hopewell high schoolers explore possible careers through Industry Day
HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- Hopewell high schoolers got a glimpse at the possibilities that lie beyond their high school experience through a special networking event on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, over 375 students at Hopewell High School were given the chance to learn about various career paths they could potentially pursue after graduation through the school's "Industry Day" event.
According to the Hopewell City Public Schools, a variety of regional businesses and organizations were in attendance, giving these students an opportunity to network and ask questions about job fields that interested them.

The organizations present on Wednesday included:
- Richmond Electricians
- Petersburg Parks and Recreation
- AutoZone Distribution
- Cater Machinery
- Vantage Aviation
- Brightpoint College
- Southside Virginia Community College
- Women in Manufacturing Restock
- U.S. Air Force
- U.S. Marines
"Thank you to Mr. Hines for coordinating this event and to all of the amazing organizations who took the time to speak with our students," the school division said.
