PHOTOS: Mulch fire breaks out in Charles City County
CHARLES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A mulch fire broke out in Charles City County on Friday night.
According to a social post from Charles City County Fire & EMS on Saturday, Nov. 29, crews were able to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.
When they arrived, firefighters found a detached garage heavily engulfed in flames one side.

"Mulch can ignite easily from discarded smoking materials, hot equipment, or heat buildup," fire officials wrote in a Nov. 29 social post. "Please use care when disposing of ashes or cigarette butts and keep mulch a safe distance from buildings.
