RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Animal League hosted its second Rescue Roundup adoption event on Friday, where furry friends from several animal control agencies in Virginia could find their new forever homes.
Richmond Animal League hosted a Rescue Roundup adoption event on Friday, March 21 at its shelter, located at 11401 International Drive in North Chesterfield, where seven cats and 12 dogs from the Richmond Animal League's shelter were adopted.
According to a spokesperson for the Richmond Animal League, 11 animal control agencies participated in the Rescue Roundup event on Friday, which included Chesterfield County Animal Services, Hanover County Animal Control and more.
Thanks to the space the shelter had available, the spokesperson said Richmond Animal League was able to take in a cat and six dogs that weren't adopted during the event so that these pets did not have to return to their previous shelter.
