Police: Chesterfield elementary school student made threatening calls to Crenshaw Elementary School
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- An elementary school student has been identified by police as the person who made threatening calls against Crenshaw Elementary School in Chesterfield County two days in a row.
A spokesperson for the Chesterfield County Police Department told 8News on Thursday, Oct. 2, that the person who made threatening phone calls to Crenshaw Elementary School on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 has been identified.
Through investigation, police said the caller was identified as a male student at a Chesterfield County Public Schools elementary school.
Officials did not confirm whether the student attends Crenshaw or another elementary school in the county.
Police reportedly interviewed the student, and determined the threats were not credible. Police said the student had no means to carry out the threats and was not charged.
Police were present at the school on both days due to the calls.
8News has reached out to the school system for comment regarding the caller being identified by police.
