Prince George county administrator retiring after nearly 2 decades
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Prince George County's county administrator is resigning after nearly two decades of serving within its government.
On Monday, Dec. 1, officials announced that County Administrator Jeffrey D. Stoke is resigning from his position.
Since 2009, he has served multiple roles within Prince George County, including Director of Economic Development and Deputy County Administrator. In total, he has over 28 years of local government experience.
"I want to thank the members of the Board of Supervisors who I have served over the years and a talented staff who assisted me with guiding so many important County projects," Stoke said in a Monday press release. "I look forward to succeeding in my next professional opportunity.”
Stoke's last day will be on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026. The current deputy county administrator, Kristen Pudlow, will become Interim County Administrator at that time.
"All of us here in Prince George County wish Mr. Stoke and his family the best moving forward, and thank them for the contributions he and his family have made to this county over the past 16+ years," the county said.
