According to the fire department, if a fire is within 300 feet of woodland and dry grass, it is an increased risk of wildfires.
In this season, Prince George Fire and EMS has already responded to multiple brush fires and illegal burning complaints. The fire department expressed encouragement towards the community's efforts in helping to prevent wildfires, as well as keep lives and properties safe.
