Prince George water service may be disrupted for some residents after main break

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Some Prince George County residents' water services may be disrupted on Thursday due to a water main break at a section of Peachtree Drive, with repair work underway.

In a social post the morning of Thursday, Oct. 16, Prince George County announced that utility crews had responded to an apparent water main break at the 1600 block of Peachtree Drive.

According to the county, water service to about 22 customers along the roadway may be impacted while repairs are underway.

Service may be temporarily shut off to prevent roadway damage, according to officials.

"Thank you for your patience as crews work to resolve this issue safely and efficiently," the county wrote in the post.

Officials anticipate the repair and restoration of full service will be completed by about 6 p.m. Thursday.
