¿Qué Pasa? Festival to return to Brown’s Island to celebrate Latino culture

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- ¿Qué Pasa? Festival is returning for another year at Brown's Island on May 3, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Virginia’s Hispanic and Latin American communities.

One of Virginia's premier Latino festivals, the annual ¿Qué Pasa? Festival continues to gather "thousands together to experience the music, flavors, art and traditions that make Latino culture so dynamic and diverse," according to a press release from the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) issued on Wednesday, April 16.

In 2018, the event set the world record for the most piñatas displayed in one location, and has featured live performances, culinary experiences and artisan vendors, officials said.

VAHCC said that guests should expect live music, dance performances, authentic Latin American cuisine, local Latino-owned businesses, family-friendly activities and more. The organization added that proceeds from the festival support the VAHCC and the Virginia Hispanic Foundation.
