Rabies clinic to be held in King William County in April
KING WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A rabies clinic that is open to pets from all Virginia counties will be held in King William County in April.
King William Animal Control will host a rabies clinic at the King William County Courthouse from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.
According to officials, the rabies clinic is cash only, with the rabies vaccine costing $10 per vaccine and a county tag for dogs costing $5 per tag. No appointments are necessary to attend the event.
Pets from all counties are welcome at the rabies clinic. Those interested in having their pets receive a 3-year rabies vaccine must bring a rabies certificate that shows their pet has been vaccinated before, even if it has expired.
Attendees are advised to stay in their vehicle when they arrive at the King William County Courthouse and wait until they are assisted. The event will take place on a first-come, first serve basis, according to officials.
For the safety of the pets, dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers at the event.
