RIC to offer nonstop flights to Puerto Rico via JetBlue
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Travelers in the Richmond area will soon be able to visit the Caribbean destination in just two and a half hours.
JetBlue announced on Wednesday, Dec. 3, that it's set to offer nonstop flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, next spring, offering five new routes.
The airline is set to begin service to the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) on March 26, 2026, with one-way tickets starting at $99 for a limited time to celebrate the launch.
“Puerto Rico has shaped JetBlue’s identity for more than two decades,” said Marty St. George, JetBlue’s president. “Our newest routes only deepen our commitment to the island and the communities that have been part of JetBlue’s story since 2002. We’re proud to continue investing in Puerto Rico and creating more travel opportunities for customers across our growing network.”
Richmond International Airport (RIC) said the nonstop flights will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Per the release, JetBlue operates more seats and serves more destinations between Puerto Rico and the mainland U.S. than any other airline, with the new routes expanding the airline's position as Puerto Rico's largest airline.
