Richmond Animal League discounts adoptions to get dogs, cats homes for the holidays

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- In an effort to get all of its adoptable animals a loving home for the holidays, the Richmond Animal League (RAL) is holding its Operation Silent Night adoption event, where adoption hours are extended and fees are discounted. From Nov. 29 to Dec. 19, those interested in adopting a new furry friend can do so at a discounted rate of $10 through Operation Silent Night, presented by Salty Paws RVA. Hours are also extended, with adoptions now open between 1 and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. on weekends. RAL is located at 11401 International Dr. in Richmond. If a pet is not adopted during Operation Silent Night, they will spend the holidays in a loving foster home. Those interested in being one such foster home can apply here.
