Richmond business robbed at gunpoint, police search for 2 suspects

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A Richmond business was robbed at gunpoint in mid-August, with police searching for two suspects who were caught on surveillance footage.

The Richmond Police Department is investigating an armed commercial robbery that took place at a business in the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 14.

The two suspects entered the business at about 4:53 p.m. on Thursday, according to police. One of the men then went back outside while the other approached the counter.

According to police, that man then pulled out a firearm and demanded that the employee behind the counter give him money. The employee complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man then went outside, met up with the other suspect and the two left together on foot, moving north on Chamberlayne Avenue.
