Richmond Department of Public Utilities to host hiring event

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond's Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is set to host a hiring event with on-the-spot interviews Tuesday, Oct. 28.
The event will be held at 1500 Main Street Station from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free parking available to attendees.
According to the DPU, job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with hiring managers, learn more about available roles and potentially receive on-the-spot job offers.
"We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who want to build long-term, meaningful careers serving their community," stated DPU Senior Director Scott Morris. "This event is a great opportunity to meet our dedicated team; learn about the exceptional work we do on a daily basis and take the next step in your career."
The DPU is looking to recruit for the following job positions:
- Utility field specialist
- Gas and water field specialist senior
- Utility pipeline technician
- Equipment operator principal Equipment operator senior
- Plant operator
- Utility plant specialist
Walk-ins are welcome; however, applicants are encouraged to apply in advance. Attendees are asked to bring multiple copies of their resume and to be prepared for on-site interviews.
