Richmond Floorball Club to host weekend showcase event in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Powhatan County's Richmond Floorball Club will host the Richmond Floorball Showcase in Henrico County next weekend, according to officials.

The showcase will be held from Friday, March 13, to Sunday, March 15, at the RCSSC Annex in Henrico County, combining open play with a 4v4 tournament and visiting players from Pittsburgh, per a release from the Richmond Floorball Club.

"Most of us playing now hadn’t even heard of floorball five years ago,” said Nick Baldaino, President of Richmond Floorball Club. “Richmond gave us an opportunity to try it, some of us stayed — and that’s how this grew. The Atlantic Floorball Open was a success and primed for expansion, but our priority is still home. The Showcase is our way of introducing the sport differently — keeping it safe, welcoming, and low-pressure, while still offering structured play for those who want to grow.”
