Richmond Flying Squirrels announce upcoming Star-Spangled Fest
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Flying Squirrels' Star-Spangled Squirrels Fest is kicking off on Independence Day.
On July 4, the Star-Spangled Squirrels Fest will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at The Diamond -- featuring fireworks, food, live music and more.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $20 to watch the fireworks from the field -- available online and at Nutzy's Block Party on Saturday, March 1.
"Celebrating the Fourth of July at The Diamond has been an annual tradition for generations of families here in Richmond," Flying Squirrels Chief Operating Officer Ben Rothrock said. "We're excited to debut Star-Spangled Squirrels Fest and offer a unique entertainment option for people of all ages that will culminate in our largest fireworks show of the year."
According to the Flying Squirrels, the festival will feature two live bands playing from 6 to 8:30 p.m. In addition, there will be interactive games and activities for kids and adults set up throughout the ballpark.
The food and drink specials will include root beer floats, Dippin' Dots with unique-themed cups and kids meals for $7.40.
